New Photos of The Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland at the Disneyland Resort

December 11, 2018 By Daniel Hale

Per the Disney Parks Blog:

The Tropical Hideaway will be open for business soon! This all new restaurant is located in the former spot of Aladdin Oasis. Check out these new photos from the Disney Parks Blog!

Set along the Jungle River waterfront, it’s also the perfect spot to sit and relax in between adventures—perhaps with a refreshing Dole Whip! After sunset, flickering torchlights add to the evening ambiance.

The trader’s market is filled with details to discover around every nook and cranny.
We look forward to welcoming world travelers soon at The Tropical Hideaway!

Aladdin’s Oasis to become The Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland

February 27, 2018 By Daniel Hale

The Tropical Hideaway

Per the Disney Parks Blog:

The former Aladdin’s Oasis will soon be transformed into The Tropical Hideaway! This new experience will soon appear along the tropical shores nestled between the Jungle Cruise and “Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.” This one-of-a-kind destination will be a popular rest stop for Adventureland locals and weary explorers alike. Guests will be able to rub elbows with their favorite skippers in an exotic traders’ market, featuring all of the sights, sounds, and flavors of the tropics.

Wednesday Photo Challenge Answer: Aladdin’s Oasis

November 10, 2011 By Daniel Hale

Every Wednesday we test your DLR knowledge with a photograph taken somewhere in the Disneyland Resort.  Here’s the answer:

The peacock sits at the apex of the archway to Aladdin’s Oasis.

I considered this to be an easy challenge. We got a lot of close-but-incorrect answers. To be honest if I wsn’t the guy issuing the challenge I wouldn’t have known.

Many guesses were in the ballpark, guessing attractions and decor in Adventureland, but only one hit the bullseye:

Alison Hodgson

And to those who gave it a shot, thank you so much for participating!

We’ll have a new one for you next week, so when you’re in the Disneyland Resort (Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney and all of the Disney hotels), keep your eyes peeled and take in everything.
