Along with our Wednesday Photo Challenge, we have conjured up a new challenge for our readers and listeners! Inspired by Paul Barrie’s “Where in the Park” game, from his podcast Window to the Magic, we are issuing a “audio challenge” to our listeners as another way to engage with you all and have a little fun on Monday.
Above is a short audio clip that I captured somewhere in the Disneyland Resort. I’ll ask a question about the clip and using your memories of your trip(s) to the resort and concentration you’ll give us your best answer. Do make sure to read the questions carefully as the weeks go by. Sometimes the question might be with regards to a small (or large), subtle (or distinct) detail in the audio.
This being the first challenge, of what I hope to be many, we’ll start with something easy.

I am strolling through the Disneyland Resort. Where am I?
Always keep in mind that Disneyland Resort means the whole resort: Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Downtown Disney, The Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.

Critter Country
Hey guys,
Love the podcast and the trivia. Keep up the great work. In response to this weeks audio trivia, I’m going with you are strolling past the drop outside of Splash Mountain and into Critter Country!
You are by Splash Mountain, under the train tracks, by Winnie the Pooh, walking in Critter Country.

I think you are by critter country because the music is from splash mountain then at the end I hear the Winnie the pooh music and the train going by. I hope I got it this time. This is a great idea and fun!!

You’re in Critter Country right by Splash Mountain and the railroad that goes by overhead. Really made me smile and I needed that today. Thanks 🙂
Splash Mountain! The part after the huge drop (hence the screams at the beginning), with the big show boat and a bunch of animatronic animals. 🙂 Also, the train is going through at that moment, because the train goes through that part of the ride. Hence the train whistle in the audio clip. Too easy! 😉 Hehe.
But at the end it *sounds* like Winnie the Pooh music during the last few seconds of the audio clip, like you’re exiting back into Critter Country and the Winnie the Pooh theme is playing or something.
