New Hidden Mickey Pins Arriving at Disneyland in Late July 2013 – These new pins follow the first part of the 2013 collection that was released in February. These new pins are distributed to cast members to use for trading with guests of all ages. Each pin measures approximately 1.25-inches and contain a small Mickey Mouse icon. This not-so-hidden icon is an easy way to identify Hidden Mickey pins on cast members lanyards.

The 2014 Tinker Bell Run Half Marathon Sells Out – Run Disney’s annual winter marathon event at Disneyland January 16th – 19th, 2014 had it’s registration opened this week. In less than 48 hours, the half marathon main event, was sold out. There are still openings available for the Tinker Bell 10K and Never Land Family Fun Run 5K events.

Saving Mr. Banks Trailer Released – The movie about Walt Disney obtaining the film rights to P.L. Travers book, Mary Poppins has released it’s first movie trailer this week. Tom Hanks as Walt Disney and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Travers tell the story of how Mary Poppins came to the big screen. The movie is set in the 60’s and the Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland are in the film.

D23 Expo – 2013 Disney Legends were announced this week. Each honoree receives a two-foot-tall bronze Disney Legends sculpture that signifies the imagination, creativity, and magic they have brought to the Company. Disney Legends Award recipients also participate in a handprint ceremony, and their bronzed prints will be displayed in the Disney Legends Plaza at the Company’s Burbank headquarters. The ceremony will be held at the D23 Expo 2013 at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, in the D23 Expo Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center.
